I've learned to attain this Alpha state under a variety of "tough" conditions - they should be called "battle conditions," really. Because you feel like you're in a war zone if you are at a noisy psychic festival with lots of people sitting at tables, all of them talking at once, with people lined up waiting for their turn and chatting with their friends. Well, when I sit down to do a psychic reading by email, the exact opposite happens.

I meditate beforehand to clear myself. I also make sure my baby is sleeping ( I have an eight month old.) I turn off all my phones so I won't be disturbed. If pedestrians are walking down the street and I can see them from my front window, I'll even close the curtains to block out any outside stimulus. As much as is possible, I put out a virtual "Do Not Disturb" sign so I can focus exclusively on the reading.

The person will have provided me with their full birth name, birth place, and date of birth, along with three to seven main questions or topics they want covered in their reading. I focus in on their energy for a few minutes and connect to them from my heart, sending out the sincere intention that I want to bring through information that is helpful and empowering for that person.

All this happens before I even start giving the psychic reading by email.

The next step is to get out my tarot cards. I use a really positive and beautiful deck called the Morgan Greer tarot deck.

I gently lay out the cards and begin interpreting them, all the while focusing on the energy of the person receiving the reading. I'm a natural clairvoyant so information sort of rushes into my head in a burst, usually a combination of images, emotions, and impressions. From there I focus that information to go into more detail about the questions the person has asked me to answer in their psychic reading by email.

It's not hard. Then while it is all fresh in my mind I type everything up into a carefully created report, with as many details as possible.

Only after I'm done tuning in do I go back to proofread what I've written and check for typos, etc.
